Our curriculum is designed to promote a love of learning and provide each student with a foundation of skills and a strong work ethic. We want our students to excel. To enable them to do so our agenda of systematic, rigorous teaching and learning is supported by a consistent and tailored programme to meet the needs of each child.

Our approach stretches our students intellectually as well as focusing on gaining essential skills and knowledge as a foundation for a much broader academic success. We drive up attainment by emphasising uncompromisingly high aspirations and personalising support to each student's need. We insist upon a stimulating, motivational and excellently taught curriculum that engages every student.

We want our students to be strong readers and communicators and to be competent and confident with numbers, so our curriculum has a strong focus on English and mathematics. Students must reach or exceed their expected year levels in these subjects before they can progress to having full classes in all subjects. With this foundation, all students will have meaningful access to the rest of the curriculum.

Students who do well are stretched and challenged, and those who need more help with their studies are given all the extra support they need.
